Meet Leo. Leo is a 4 y/o neutered male, Akbash mix.

Leo is very true to his breed, and once he gets into a home he is very protective of that home and would need slow and proper introductions to new people when they came in.  He seems to warm up quickly with women but takes a little bit longer with men.  When strangers come into his home he will growl and snap. Leo does great with other dogs (Loves them!) and has even gone to dog parks as well as doggy daycare before. His previous homes have failed because of a lack of understanding of the breed, his training needs, + the patience to work with him.

Leo loves spending time outdoors, but has no prior livestock guarding experience (to our knowledge). He loves his people, his food, and toys - and is protective of all of them. He would love to live in a home with other dogs, folks familiar with his breed, and somewhere to run and play (note, he has never exhibited any signs or efforts of trying to escape)! He's not fond of cats, so preferably a home without. He's lived with kiddos in the past and done just fine.

3. We will set up for a home visit. The 4 ft or higher fencing must be in place and be very secure for the adoption to proceed.

4. If everything has passed, we will then have you work with the foster parent of the dog(s) you are interested in adopting.

5. The adoption contract must be received along with the adoption fee for the dog before a transport will be arranged.
