If  you have some experience with Pyrs or LGDs I think you will love this boy.   Brady doesn't care for cats so a home with cats in close proximity is out.

This information is from his Pyr experienced foster mom:  He is a very loving, affectionate guy.  He likes to lay his head on your lap so you’ll rub his head and scratch his ears.  He will also watch you, ready to jump up and go with you, if you look like you’re about to go outside or do something fun.  He likes to be with his people.  He gets along fine with another dog in the household and adores kids.

He loves walks, but needs a gentle leader leash (I will send his along with him) otherwise he likes to decide which way you’re going!  He sleeps right by the bed at night, he’s very quiet at night, although he will definitely bark and let you know if someone comes into the house or if someone gets up to use the bathroom.  During the day he likes to patrol the yard perimeter and he will bark if there’s someone passing by or if he senses anything out of the ordinary. He likes to be inside and outside both.

He is totally house trained, no accidents. He will jump right in the car, and loves to go with you, although he does drool a lot while traveling.  He has a high prey drive, would like to chase squirrels, cats and even small dogs.  I don’t think he would like a cat in the home.  He is protective in that he will bark loudly if someone walks in the house or yard, but as soon as I introduce them, or tell him they are “company” he’s immediately happy and wagging his tail, hoping to be petted.  He remembers the people he’s met before.  I don’t think he would let a stranger walk in the yard if I wasn’t home.  He’s very smart and has learned many words.  He knows “sit”, “walk”,  “treat”, “dinner”, “night-night” (that means go to my bedroom, we’re going to bed), “outside”, “come”, “go to your room” (that means go in the laundry room), “company” (that means someone is at the door that we know and like).

We do have a secure fence, and we always keep the gate closed  but he has never tried to climb out or escape in any way.  Doesn’t try to slip out the door with you either.
