Hank the Tank, Hankster, boy, is a neutered, roughly 2-year-old Pyrenees who absolutely loves his humans. He even likes Crazy Chloe, the Border Collie/Aussie. His disposition, patience, and desire to love his pack is unassailable. With his people, he is the weighted blanket with a heart. He can calm you in times of anxiety and will be there for you.

He enjoys being petted. As a typical Pyr, he has the Pyr paw and loves his pack. Unusual to the breed, he actually listens. As the foster mom many times over, I have only really seen it one other time in Puppy (a wonderful dog we placed several years ago).  Puppy’s forever parents are confident they will never find a better companion. I agree. Hank knows how to sit, lay, shake (of course, with the Pyr paw), and to use his inside voice (for those who know the breed, wow, huh?). Hank doesn’t chew and he has not shown interest in escaping the yard (again, wow).

He doesn’t like his pack being separated. He gets a little nervous when I’m upstairs and my husband is downstairs so he goes back and forth. He doesn’t play with traditional toys, but will play with Chloe for a little while. Hank is good on a leash, will jump in the back of the car, and seems to be ok with cats (I don’t have any, but testing went well). He is leery of Magpies, but let’s be honest they’re kinda mean. He also gets nervous in cars if nobody is touching him. If you lay your hand on him, he calms down. Then again, he's probably nervous from being transported. I’ve put my hand in his mouth and grabbed his feet and he’s a perfect gentleman. At PetSmart, he is an angel letting everyone pet and fawn over him. He loves being outside, but is comfortable inside. If you have any questions about this gentle giant, feel free to contact Carole and she will put you in touch with his foster family.
