Bear was brought in as a stray to a Utah shelter and was found to have foxtails, burrs and a FISH HOOK in his poor right front foot.  Typically Bear was scared, but he has always been kind and loving - assumed to be an abandoned working dog.

Several vet appointments and prescriptions have been required so far and it may not be over - the vet has mentioned that the 4th digit on that foot is fractured and may need to be amputated!! As of now the infection seems to finally be under control and we can move forward with the determination of how to treat the toe.

Through all of the treatment and being constantly in pain Bear has been nothing but kind.  He welcomes anyone with a wagging tail and a happy Pyr smile.  He loves all dogs big and small and all humans as well.  He pays no attention to the kennel cats and is a very content boy who tolerates his treatment and just waits for a treat.

We believe him to be around 2 years old and have yet to find any issues with his personality AT ALL.
