This big beautiful spayed Anatolian girl has spent two years in the past living in a pasture and getting enough attention to know that she just doesn't get along with other dogs.  We recently let her go home with a potential adopter and within an hour after they got home they called to say that she had tried to go after a young adult dog and some puppies - so she is sadly back with us.

It would be nice if she could be the only dog in the household - BUT as long as there is a fence between she and other dogs she is fine - just can't be right with other dogs, yet can protect you and your property from predators.

No chickens or cats.  Must have property, she loves being outside. Would make a great protector for a single person and she loves being with her people.  She does love people and affection and is very friendly, however she is extremely strong and can be a bit of a hand-full when on a leash.

Typically of LGD breeds, she especially appears to not enjoy the company of other females.   Not long ago she was with a trainer for two weeks and the trainer's recommendation is that she be the only dog.

ALL OF THAT SAID, WE KNOW THAT THIS SWEET GIRL IS MUCH FRIENDLIER THAN WHAT SHE MAY APPEAR.

WE ALSO BELIEVE THAT SHE NEEDS TO GO TO SOMEONE WHO HAS EXPERIENCE WITH LGD BREEDS.

You can meet this wonderful girl at Old Farm Kennels in Florence and apply to adopt her online here:  https://greatpyrrescuemt.rescuegroups.org/info/adoption
