Great Pyrenees Rescue Montana

So - our Zues boy "had" a new loving family for about 9 months - until they lost the home that allowed them to have him and must move to one where they can't...  They did provide us with some new and updated information about him so will post it here first:

Zues is good at getting in the car and good on car rides.  He loves to play tug of war and fetch but only for a short while.  He loves people and especially loves sniffing them up and down to find out exactly where they have been! Zeus is very active with his paws when playing and interacting with others (people and dogs) which can get him into trouble at times.   

He does very well being home all day (6 - 8) hours but is ready to play when you get home and full of energy.  He loves a good raw meaty bone to chew on for a reward, and even will make you laugh when plays around with it waiting for it to thaw.  His home didn't mind his playful biting,  but it may not be well suited for all and may take some consistent training to break him of the habit.  Zues also likes to throw his butt into you when saying "hi" or "scratch me". 

While walking on a leash Zues is very interested in all the smells and is tough to control at times,  but once again with consistent training he may be able to learn.  For now he is in Missoula, MT and arrangements may be made for you to meet him.

This long legged boy has been a very loved boy and is looking for a family that will continue to give him lots of attention and cuddles as well as help him work off some of his boundless energy! 

Zues definitely needs some basic training with walking on a leash, as well as just understanding that he is a big boy.  He really wants to jump up on you and doesn't realize how big he is.  

He's pretty good in the house when left for a short while. He is great with other dogs, although he does play a bit rough, and he absolutely loves people!  Zues is house trained and will let you know he needs to go outside with a long low whine!

3. We will set up for a home visit. The 4 ft or higher fencing must be in place and be very secure for the adoption to proceed.

4. If everything has passed, we will then have you work with the foster parent of the dog(s) you are interested in adopting.

5. The adoption contract must be received along with the adoption fee for the dog before a transport will be arranged.
