Boone is an 18 month old karakachan dog. He is looking for a new family after some unfortunate events transpired. Boone had a bird in his mouth and his owner took it away from him, he did bite her. They wanted to find him a new home after that but we believe this big guy just needs some guidance, love and training. Also, he is a livestock guardian dog breed so its probably best he goes to someone who understands this breed. He was guarding that bird and when she took it away, he was guarding and doing his job. He will be neutered on July 16th and then available for adoption. 

Does the dog get along safely with cats? Chases cats outside but Ignores cats otherwise.

Does the dog get along safely with children?  Lives with children now

Does the dog get along safely with strangers?Yes - greets strangers with a tail wag, Yes - will allow strangers to approach and pet/rub. 

Never jumped the fence until tree limbs broke a part and he could sneak through it. Has never dug out and always comes to us when we catch him.He goes in a crate with a treat, we just never shut him in one. I believe he was crated for his travel from CA to MT at 12 weeks.

2. We will check your vet reference.

3. We will set up for a home visit. The 4 ft or higher fencing must be in place and be very secure for the adoption to proceed.

4. If everything has passed, we will then have you work with the foster parent of the dog(s) you are interested in adopting.

5. The adoption contract must be received along with the adoption fee for the dog before a transport will be arranged.
