Sweet girl Bonnie is just barely a year old and has had a rough start. She lived around children and cats on property in Northern Idaho. Bonnie was an owner surrender because she killed chickens that flew into her outdoor kennel. She is currently at a foster in Idaho and doing so well. They are working on leash walking and car trips with her daily. She is great with their cats and doesn't even care that they are there. Previous owners said she was often found sleeping with the barn kitties. She is great with other dogs with proper introductions. She is at a home with a 4 ft chain link fence and she hasn't tried to jump or escape at all. When the foster leaves she lays down at their back slider and goes to sleep. She was very fearful of being inside but with some love and attention she's loving being inside and sleeping on the bed. Foster thinks she would love to be with school age kids. She was not used to toys of any kind or a ball, so they have introduced that to her and she is figuring out how to be a dog. She barked at a neighbor, was introduced to said person and hasn't barked at them since then. She has not counter surfed at all, and has only taken a tissue from a side table at nose height because she was curious. She listens very well and is eager to please. Home she came from NEVER took her to a vet so we got her UTD on shots, she has a booster in 3-4 weeks. She needs to be spayed as well. Overall, she is a healthy sweet girl who needs a family who can work with her. The foster said she is already blossoming with just this much attention shes received in a week. The foster really would love to keep her but they have 4+ dogs right now and 2 rescue chiuahahas that aren't nice to Miss Bonnie (and our girl could careless about them). Haha! She is being fostered in Coeur d'alene, Idaho. Arrangements for meet and greets can be made with approved foster or adopter application.
