Meet Ava – The Sweet and Playful Great Pyrenees

Ava is a 1.5-year-old Great Pyrenees with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. Rescued from the Ventura County, CA Animal Shelter in early December 2024 by Great Pyrenees Rescue Montana, Ava made her way to Montana, where she’s been flourishing in her foster home in Belgrade since the end of December.

Ava had a bit of a rough start with a bacterial skin infection, but she’s a trooper—her fur has fully regrown, and she’s now happy and healthy. She’s spayed, up to date on all her vaccines, and ready to find her forever home.

This sweet girl is known for her playful and silly nature. She absolutely adores being around other dogs, and she would thrive in a home with a large fenced backyard where she can run and play. Ava has a special fondness for being part of a family and would love a home with other dog companions to keep her company. She’s even been a foster mom to multiple litters of puppies, showcasing her nurturing side.

Ava is not destructive and loves to be surrounded by people and other dogs. She’s looking for a family who understands the needs of a larger breed and can offer her a safe, loving environment. While prior experience with Great Pyrenees is preferred, it’s not required as long as you are committed to providing Ava with the care and attention she deserves.

Her adoption fee is $400, which includes her spay, vaccines, and all medical care over the past three months. Please note that the adopter must be able to pick up Ava in Belgrade, MT.

3. We will set up for a home visit/video visit. 

4. If everything has passed, we will then have you work with the foster parent of the dog(s) you are interested in adopting.

5. The adoption contract must be received along with the adoption fee for the dog before a transport will be arranged.
