About Wynter-ADOPTED

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 219672
  • Ear Type: Natural/Uncropped
6-10-07 Wynter is such a special boy! He was originally found wandering the streets of Victoria, British Columbia. He had a large area of grease on his back, so we suspect he was sleeping under cars for shelter. He was temporarily taken in by a family in eastern British Columbia until he was able to find his way to our rescue group.

Wynter is around 4-5 years old, and a real sweetheart! He loves to lean into you for hugs, and rest his head in your lap. He gets along wonderfully with children, and his tail never stops wagging as they throw their arms around his neck! He walks very well on a leash, and LOVES to go for car rides. Show him an open car door, and he will be the first one in!

Around other dogs in the same home, Wynter tends to have more of a dominant personality. He loves to play with them, and actually does very well with them, but he really should belong in a home that has either no other dogs, or ones that will not challenge him and an owner who is at ease with being the alpha over all the dogs. He has never started a fight with another dog, but if challenged, he will stand his ground. However, please know that this does not pertain to dogs he meets when out on a walk. He gets along wonderfully with dogs he meets at the park or on the sidewalk when he is outside of his own home.

Wynter will make a superb companion. He is very calm, loving, and will be a devoted family dog. However, there is one last thing to mention...if he sees a cat, his ears perk up, his tail is in the air, and the chase is on!
