  • Species: Dog
  • Ear Type: Natural/Uncropped
If you are interested in Lena, please e-mail Christiane at smilingpyrs@yahoo.de. When Lena was just a weanling, she was tied outside with a rope or wire tightly around her neck. This rope was never loosened, and it festered into her flesh as she grew, until she had a wound three inches deep all the way around her neck. This poor baby suffered like this for at least 2 months! Once the owner realized what he had done, he dropped little Lena off at a local kill shelter. The shelter had no capacity to provide any form of medical care, so this poor 4 months old pup was left in a cage to suffer some more. When we heard about her, we immediately pulled her from the shelter and had her taken to a clinic. She has now had surgery and is on her way to recovery. Despite all she's been through, this baby is a little love bug- she just wants someone to be good to her and love her from now on! If you would like to contribute to Lena's very expensive care, or are interested in adopting her, please e-mail smilingpyrs@yahoo.de All donations to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Montana are tax deductible. 1.
