Meet Kita, our newest Pyr mix girl. Unfortunately it seems that Kita has been shuffled around a bit and we are having a bit of an issue finding out a lot about her background - so we will share what we have come to know about her and what has transpired in the last several days:

1. Kita loves kids - her last short-term owner ran a small daycare and Kita was good with all of the kids there.
2. She is in a loving foster home and getting quality food for possibly the first time
3. It is probably best to not leave shoes out (at least if they are ones that you are fond of)
4. Kita had a vet check up last Saturday and was brought up to date on all required vaccinations
5. Kita gets along with other dogs but we don't know about cats yet.
6. Kita has been known to go walkabout when in a yard with a short fence - BUT she apparently comes back when called, which is amazing

Kita will be available to an approved home with secure fencing. If you don't have an application on file and would like to apply for Kita, please let us know and we will get an application off to you

Weight unknown at this time. Our guess is around 70 lbs. with potential to increase when given the proper food and nutrition.

Unsure of actual age, but appears to be young (but well trained).

Medium length coat with long tail.

Great with other dogs & children. Would do well in an active home where she'll get plenty of love.

2. We will check your vet reference.

3. We will set up for a home visit. The 4 ft or higher fencing must be in place and be very secure for the adoption to proceed.

4. If everything has passed, we will then have you work with the foster parent of the dog(s) you are interested in adopting.

5. The adoption contract must be received along with the adoption fee for the dog before a transport will be arranged.
