Volunteer!

There are a number of ways to support Great Pyrenees Rescue Montana, through volunteering, Because we are not located in one particular area, our volunteers are spread across several states.

Transport

We rely on our volunteer transporters to help us get dogs to safety. Volunteer to drive a rescue dog within a 1-3 hour radius of your home. The most traveled areas for our dogs are within the states of Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, and occasionally Washington. Transportation is usually in close proximity to you, and you can let us know how many miles you’re willing to drive. We map out the entire route by location, providing specific details on timing, hand-offs, and the needs of the dog. Interested in helping? Please let us know.

Foster

Fostering saves lives (and boarding fees!). The fostering of a dog makes it possible for us to save dogs, learn more about them, and help the dog develop skills to use in its forever home. If you would like to join our foster family, please fill out the Foster application. We cover all veterinary and food bills for the dog in your care.

Special Skills

Do you have a special skill or service that could help the rescue? 

The following skills are in constant demand (but we are open to suggestions for others as well): Experienced photographer to take pictures of our available dogs (preferably in the Missoula, MT, region); Fundraising; Grooming; Veterinary Techs or Medical Professionals; Grant Writing; Volunteer or Foster Coordinator

Home Visits

Help us out by meeting with families interested in adopting a dog in your area. An in-person visit is usually scheduled when all household members (including current pets) are home, usually on an evening during the week or a weekend.
