Rigby is a beautiful, snow-white, 9-month-old, 80 pound, Great Pyrenees with a heart as big as his paws. This young boy was surrendered after chasing chickens — a common puppy mistake when left without training or guidance. Thankfully, he's now in foster care learning the ropes of how to be a beloved companion, not just a yard dog.
Rigby is affectionate and eager to connect. He’s playful, curious, and full of youthful energy. While he hasn’t been tested with kids or cats yet, he gets along well with other dogs and greets new people with happy tail wags.
He’s used to spending time outside in a secure 6-foot fenced yard and has been bunking with his foster pack. While he hasn't had much formal training, he’s shown he's smart and responsive — just a little guidance and structure will go a long way with him. He’s still a pup, so some mild mischief (like redecorating with door mats) should be expected when left alone too long. But he’s not anxious — just bored and looking for fun!
Rigby is currently eating Diamond Naturals Lamb & Rice twice daily and has no resource guarding issues — he's happy to share and be polite around food.
Rigby will thrive with an active family or adopter who understands working breeds. A home with a securely fenced yard and plenty of time for exercise, play, and continued training would be ideal. He’d love another dog to buddy up with, too.
Rigby is neutered, up to date on core vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), and ready for his next chapter — could that be with you?
