Sadie is a beautiful 1-year-old golden brown and white long-haired girl with a striking black snout and soulful eyes. At around 80 lbs, she’s a gentle giant in many ways, with a heart full of loyalty and potential.

Sadie was taken in as a stray, and has spent much of her life in a dog run thus far, but you’d never guess it—she’s house-trained, crate-trained (overnight), and walks well on a leash. She knows some basic commands like “sit” and “come here” (though she sometimes plays hard to get!). She’s affectionate, smart, and enjoys being close to her people once properly introduced.

Ideal Home:

Sadie thrives in a structured, dog-savvy environment. She currently struggles with resource guarding around other dogs (toys, beds, yard spaces) and has had conflict with her littermate and another large dog, so she would do best as the only pet in the home.

Lifestyle Needs:

Best suited for a home with a securely fenced yard (she has climbed a 4-ft cattle panel without an electric strand).

Children: unknown, so older or dog-savvy children recommended if any.

Would do best with someone who can provide clear leadership, consistency, and continue her training.

Personality in a nutshell:

Slightly active, not overly energetic

Playfully curious—loves cardboard and tissues (watch your recycling!)

Friendly with strangers once introduced, tail-wagging included!

Health Info:

Up to date on DHLP, Rabies, and Bordetella (vaccinated 09/21/2024)

On monthly Heartworm & Flea/Tick prevention (Ivermectin + Frontline)

No major medical issues, but has minor skin sensitivities (hot spots)

Sadie is a diamond in the rough—a loyal, loving dog who needs the right setting to truly shine. If you’re looking for a smart, trainable companion and have the experience to guide her, Sadie could be your perfect match.
